The past few days have been wet and cold. Today was no different. Vermont is known for having muddy trails. That is a true statement. The Trail is a muddy mess. I spent the day slipping and sliding.

The rocks are the worst. They are like ice when they’re wet…fall number 14. I slipped while traversing a boulder field. One minute upright. The next on my butt. This fall hurt, but I’m uninjured. Just a bump and bruise on my right elbow.

When I summited Mt. Greylock, I was in the clouds. No views for me. Thankfully the monument can be visited by car. If I come back, I’ll just drive.

More rain is in the forecast. Bummer.

Bring back the sunshine!
