The climbs are getting bigger and steeper. Today's eighteen miles feels like twenty five. My pace is definitely slowing down. Hopefully due to conditions and not because I'm old and slow.
The woods are quite dense and some summits are completely wooded. The streams are flowing strong and running clear. It is good when the water is plentiful. Even better when it tastes good.
Today seemed to be a transition day. I'm getting set up for Killington Peak. The largest climb in VT. Guess that's something to look forward to…the beer at the top, not the climb.
I'm tired, but still strong. Bring on the big hills.
