Sunrise from my campsite! Up early and on the Trail by 8:00. My plan? A nero day. Only had to cover 1.7 miles to meet a 9:15 shuttle into Franklin. It’s that time again to resupply and cleanup.
Okay…the truth is there are two breweries in Franklin. It’s a must stop for the BrewHiker. Both were worth the trip. Lazy Hiker wins the best beer choice. While Curahee takes the nod with ambiance and location.
Gear is all cleaned up and dry. The food bag is heavy again. I have nine days to cover about 100 miles. Guessing a quick resupply in Fontana Village and then on to Gatlinburg.
It’s a 9:00 shuttle back to the AT in the morning. Time for some sleep.
Tomorrow…who knows. I’m sure it’s uphill.
Love following you blog. Keep your head up and your feet straight ahead!!! Be safe!
As soon as you exit the smoky mountain national park heading into Gatlinburg you’ll see a outfitter on your right BUT THEN a few stores down on the same side of the street you’ll find Smoky Mountain Brewery. It’s amazing, one of the best IPA’S I’ve ever had. Enjoy!
It’s on my list. Going to zero in Gatlinburg.
Great job!
