I guessed right on the weather. It’s been raining for more than 24 hours. It was an unplanned zero day, but I’m sure glad I had a roof over my head. Conditions on trail must have been horrible. Cold and wet.

Most of my day was quite unproductive. Watching Netflix and searching the internet. I did inspect gear and visit Walmart for a resupply. My five day food supply feels good. The weight seems right. I’m going to work hard this week on improving my eating habits.

Of course, I couldn’t go to Walmart without going to the Mexican restaurant.  Steak and chicken fajitas today. Guess who I ran into…Peter Pan. He seems well and is about one day behind me. Hopefully our paths will cross again.

It’s been a great stay at Cantarrosa Farm. Many thanks to Mike and Peggy for sharing their home with us. All of us hiker guests really appreciated the hospitality.

I’m excited to get back to the task at hand. Hopefully the rain will have moved on by morning. If not, I’ll just deal with it. The forecast for the remainder of the week looks good.

There are still several big mountains to climb, but the terrain is yielding. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished thus far.

Progress feels slow when it’s one step at a time. However, much ground has been covered, and lessons learned.
