Last night, on the way to Walmart, Mike wanted to check for bee swarms. We found two. Shuttle plans changed and the bee keepers jumped into action. While I was eating, Mike paid the price. He had an equipment malfunction and was stung multiple times to the face and neck.

Needless to say bee keeping is not in my life plan.
It was good to be hiking again. The weather and the trail were both iffy. It was a head down, push forward kind of day. Slogging through the mud and hoping the rain held off.
I made camp just as the rain set in. Quickly I pitched the tent, fetched water, and ate dinner. Wet and cold, I dove into the tent. I love my tent and am amazed that it feels like home. When you don’t have much, any sense of home is comforting.
The weather was supposed to improve today. It didn’t.
Maybe tomorrow.
