I enjoyed a leisurely morning. By 9:30 I had drank my fill of coffee. Since it was there, I took a long, hot shower. Then it was time to pack up the gear and prepare for the day.
After a quick stop for last minute supplies, we decided on Mexican food for lunch. We had to wander about for an hour waiting for the restaurant to open. Lunch fajitas and two cervezas for me. Then it was time to return to the Trail.
It was weird starting at 1:30, but it was a nice hike. Up through pasture lands and along ridges. I pushed fairly hard and made the shelter before dark. I ate a quick dinner, did my chores, and hit the tent.
It’s supposed to be cold tonight. Hopefully not too cold.
I sent most of my cold weather gear back with Julie.
Hope I don’t freeze!
Hoping for good weather in the days ahead. Be safe!!!
A quarter done on May 8? Sounds like a good pace! Half – done right around the corner.
