It was cold last night. So I didn’t get an early start. Nothing new there.  As you can see from the picture, the views today were amazing. The clouds eventually lifted, but there wasn’t much to see at that point.

Today I felt mostly back to normal. My strength and sense of purpose returned. It was a good day of hiking.

First thing I see after getting phone signal is that an old friend in Ohio passed away. Not the news you like to hear. Second thing is call home. That is always good for ones soul.

Life is short. Be there for those you love. Hug them more often   Tell them you love them everyday.  Treasure your time with them.

Mrs. Growler will be here this weekend. Plus I get two rest days.

Only 75 miles by Friday afternoon.

Or she’s going to have to pick me up someplace else.
