I had a good couple days of rest and recovery. My gear was cleaned and repaired. Unnecessary things were sent home. Damaged items were replaced. Everything is good to go for the second thousand miles.
There was enough free time to visit a local winery and several breweries. Thanks to Lisa at Maggie Malick, SmoketownBrewing Station, and Mash Brewing. The afternoon spent telling stories and chilling.
I played tourist for a day exploring the town of Harpers Ferry. Learning all the history and checking out the sites. It is worth visiting. The National Park is very well done.
Of course there were town chores and resupply. Plus as much food as one can eat!
I’m ready to start hiking again. Excited to be heading further North.
This looks like such a beautiful spot! Going to have to visit!
